Bustabid sells promotional placement on a public leaderboard. A listing is a name, a one-line pitch, a link, and an optional logo. These terms apply whenever you buy an entry or submit a listing. If you do not agree with them, do not use the site.
An entry buys promotional placement for your listing on the public leaderboard. Placement is delivered the moment your entry settles on the board, and every paid entry receives placement at at least its face value, in every outcome. During a round, a multiplier can increase your entry's placement score above face value. That multiplier is a bonus applied to a non-cash score, nothing more.
Nothing on Bustabid is ever redeemable or convertible to money or to anything of monetary value. Placement scores, multipliers, and board positions have no cash value and cannot be withdrawn, transferred, or exchanged. Money flows in one direction only: you pay for placement, and Bustabid never pays anything out.
Bustabid has no user accounts. Access to your entries works through a cookie set on the device you bought from and through the private manage link we email you. Anyone with that cookie or that link can control your entries, so keep both secret. We cannot recover access you have shared or lost beyond what the manage link provides.
Every new listing is reviewed before it appears publicly. We may reject a listing during review, remove a listing that later turns out to violate the content policy, and ban repeat violators. What happens to your money in each case is set out in the refund policy below.
The short version: settled placement is final, rejected listings are refunded in full, and listings removed for content violations forfeit placement. The full rules are in the refund policy.
Placement totals decay 20% every 7 days. This keeps the top of the board contestable and is part of what you buy: placement is a position on a living board, not a permanent fixture. The decay schedule is disclosed here and on the board itself.
Every round's bust point is fixed in advance by a public SHA-256 hash chain. The chain commitment is published in the site footer, and each settled round links to a verification page where you can recompute its bust point yourself.
Do not submit listings that violate the content policy, interfere with rounds or other buyers, probe or attack the service, inflate click counts, or automate entries in ways that evade our rate limits. We may remove entries and ban listings involved in any of the above.
The service is provided as is. We do not guarantee any particular outcome from placement: no specific number of clicks, visitors, or attention. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and rounds may pause for maintenance or incidents.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bustabid's total liability for any claim arising from the service is capped at the amount you paid for the entries the claim relates to. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with an updated date at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
